Best Time of Day to Go For a Run

Which is best; morning, day or night? This is one of the most common questions runners ask themselves. When it comes down to it, the choice is up to you! Review the pros and cons to which time of day may be best for you.

Morning: The pros are building muscle and mental strength that will push yourself to get an earlier start on your day as well as have more time to run the distance. The cons for running early in the morning are that your bodily functions are just starting up and haven’t had a chance to prep themselves just yet. Also, your body temperature is low causing you to feel stiffness throughout your body. Kick-start your day by running in the morning!

Day: The pros are that all of your bodily functions are performing at their very best and will definitely make you feel stronger and have more positive energy throughout the day. The cons for running in the middle of the day is it may tire you in the middle of your work day and cause fatigue deterring one from returning to their work place. Keep pushing yourself to succeed!

Night: The pros are your muscles will be at their malleable point in the day making your run go by faster as well as making it more enjoyable. The cons for running at night are that you face the dark roads and that can be dangerous depending on what route you take as well as your mind is not mentally at its peak. When running at night the temperatures will be cooler, giving you the advantage of running more comfortably!
